    Ayala Reading Room

    Events

    The library will host an Open Forum on “Writing for Teens” on August 19, Saturday, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The open forum will feature Rayvi Sunico of Cacho Publishing and well-known writer Carla Pacis who will answer what you need to know about writing fiction for teenagers. Admission fee is P50 only.

    From August 23 to 25, the Library will be selling second-hand books
    at unbelievable low prices. Libros Filipinos Bookshop will also be having a month-long sale of all Filipiniana titles beginning
    August 23.

    Exhibit

    On August 17, the Alcove Photo Gallery for black-and-white photography opens an exhibit by
    Ma. Lourdes Paguyo entitled,
    “In Between Shedding Skin.”
    Beginning September 7, the Alcove features the works of Nico Sepe in a one-man exhibit entitled “Trees.”

    InterWeave: Filipinos Helping Filipinos

    FHL, together with the Ayala Foundation’s Ayala Museum, Center for Social Development, and Center of Excellence (CENTEX) reaches out to kind hearts who wish to address the country’s educational and environmental concerns. Through InterWeave, people who want to help can make donations online. Learn how you can send children to school, enrich students’ appreciation of their history and culture, give books to libraries and schools, or provide aid to reforestation programs. [ More]
